Exeter Friends are building a First Day Program for its younger attenders. We currently have 5-6 young students attending under the care of Sherri Mearhoff and Bonnie Kerr. Other adult Friends take turns assisting with the Sunday morning gathering.
The First Day Group presented a program to meeting, the 27th of First Month as a culmination of their Fall Program that focused on the environment and how our actions have influenced it. The presentaion showed dramatically how simple things we can do every day to reduce our carbon footprint. Attenders received personallized cotton shopping sacks to use instead of the environmenatally costly plastic sacks offered in the stores.
The youth group is now exploring Quaker Biographies, both historic and those of meeting members. Visit this space often to catch a glimpse of their activities.
Young Friends gather with the adults for the first 15 minutes of worship at 10:30 and then meet together in a separate area of the Meeting House for the remainder of the hour.
